Mark Doll, Grinnell Regional Medical Center Facilities
Management Director, received national recognition for his impact on the fields
of healthcare engineering and facilities management. Doll has worked at GRMC
since 2002 and has served as the director of facilities management for six
years.
Doll represented Region 6 of the American Society for
Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). The award singles out individuals who have made
positive strides in the fields of healthcare engineering and facilities
management; planning, design, and construction; safety; clinical and biomedical
engineering; and technical management. One member from each of ASHE's 10
regions receives this award annually. Region 6 covers the states of Iowa,
Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The society has 10 regions and recognizes 10
individuals annually from across the country. Doll received the award at the
fall ASHE annual conference in San Antonio, Texas. Recipients also receive a
complimentary invitation to attend the ASHE Leadership Institute in Phoenix,
Ariz., held November
1-3.
Doll currently serves as the ISHE (Iowa Society for
Healthcare Engineering) state president as of the fall conference in September
and will serve a one-year term until September 2013. Previously he held the
position of secretary and vice-president on the ISHE State Board. He resides in
the Lynnville/Sully area.
