Medicare is the
social insurance program funded by the U.S. government for citizens over 65
years of age. In these provisions, you are entitled to yearly Medicare Wellness
Checks. These checks can be very important in preemptive diagnoses, and being
aware of your health.
On June 22, Roy Doorenbos, MD, Gayle
Johnson, RN, and Brenda Peck, all with Grinnell Regional Family Care, are the
featured speakers at Grinnell Regional Medical Center’s Senior Education
Program. They will present information about service that you may be eligible
for; how little it may cost; why it is important to be proactive in your
healthcare; and why you should take advantage of this service.
This program is free and open to the
public. It will be held in the Drake Community Library with refreshments beginning
at 9:30 a.m.
Parking is available at the Drake Community
Library, along Park Street, on Fifth Avenue, and in the First Presbyterian
Church parking lot.
