In anticipation of the weather, GRMC has this report.
Dave Ness, vice-president shared this:
Alliant Energy notified GRMC that we are on diversion for
natural gas from Sunday 9 a.m. until Tuesday 9 a.m. (48 hours). This is not
really an inconvenience for GRMC rather it is in our agreement as a larger
company and user of energy.
Our boilers are dual fuel and we have tanks of fuel to
supply the boilers. So we don’t really change how we operate with this
anticipated cold blast.
The agreement for diversion only affects the central GRMC
campus. Other buildings are in affected.
We don’t anticipate changing operations.
We also work with staff
who may have challenges getting home or getting to work. We offer
short-term housing so that our staff are safe and can get to work to care for
patients.
