Grinnell Regional Medical Center’s Office of
Communications and Development has been awarded the APEX 2014 Award of
Excellence in the Newsletter – Print category for its work redesigning the
quarterly newsletter, GRMC Healthletter.
APEX 2014, the 26th Annual Awards for Publication
Excellence, is an international competition that recognizes outstanding
publications from newsletters and magazines to annual reports, brochures and
websites. The judges reviewed 2,075 entries in 11 categories of the contest.
According to the APEX 2014 judges, “The awards were
based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content and the
success of the entry in conveying the message and achieving overall
communications effectiveness.”
“GRMC is fortunate to have a dedicated creative
communications team and this award demonstrates their leadership in the
healthcare arena,” says Todd Linden, CEO and president of GRMC. “This entry
focused on the redesign of the GRMC Healthletter and featured a large photo of
staff on the cover recognizing our AARP Magazine safe hospital .”
